Jake Kestler - Our Hero and Inspiration

About Trial Blazers for Kids

The Trial Blazers for Kids Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on improving treatment options and finding cures for pediatric cancers by funding innovative clinical trials as well as raising awareness regarding the limited treatment options available to pediatric cancer patients. Trial Blazers for Kids was founded to honor the life and memory of Jake Kestler, a 14 year old boy and hero to all who knew him. On April 11, 2019, Jake passed away after a 2 year and 4 month battle with glioblastoma. Despite facing two different cancer battles in his short life, Jake never complained, never gave up and lived every day to the fullest. He always had hope and always had a smile. With Jake as our inspiration, Trial Blazers for Kids is focused on delivering hope to children like Jake and their families by funding innovative pediatric clinical trials which may help provide cures, extend lives and improve treatment options for pediatric cancers.

Jake’s life was extended through participation in an innovative clinical trial. While nothing but a cure will ever be enough, the extra time that Jake had allowed him to have many amazing experiences including becoming a Bar Mitzvah, appearing on ESPN, travelling to Hawaii, meeting and spending time with his baby brother, amongst many others. Your donation to Trial Blazers for Kids will help other children make more memories and hopefully to live far into the future leading normal lives. That is our mission and that is how we will keep Jake’s spirit and memory alive. Thank you for your support and generosity.
